About Tal
Hobbies:

I love reading (fiction and non fiction), traveling (I have been to Europe
and Asia) and jogging.

History in Education:

I am currently undertaking a Bachelor of Education (Primary) at
Melbourne University. For the past ten years I have been an active
member, counselor and president of an informal Education youth group,
which runs weekly activities for children aged 9-18 as well as Summer
and Winter camps.
During my GAP year in 2006 I participated in a Year Long leadership
program in the Middle East, which involves not only learning
Educational and Leadership skills but also teaching English to groups
of Ethiopian children.
I have tutored before in Primary English and LOTE, as well as tutoring VCE students in Legal Studies and
Psychology, and have had extensive experiences with nannying children.

I am passionate about Education, organised, thorough and self
motivated. I am interested and willing to help students develop effective
study techniques and meta-cognitive skills, which I have done in the past.
I am more than willing to assist students in planning a work program for
the subject involved.
I am friendly, approachable and patient, and have had much
necessary experience dealing with young children and adolescents.

Awards and achievements:

- ENTER score of over 98 and a score of over 40 in each VCE subject
- Top of the state in LOTE subject
- Dux of Humanities
- Recipient of the Studies of Society and Environment Award
- Recipient of the Faculty of Education Merit Scholarship
